Burglary: A person commits burglary when without authority he knowingly enters or without authority
remains with a building, housetrailer, watercraft, aircraft, motor vehicle, or railroad car with the intent to
commit therein a felony or theft. 720 ILCS 5/19-1. This offense is a Class 2 felony. Residential Burglary
is a Class 1 felony which carries a prison term of 4-15 yrs.
